17 Awesome Bacalar Beach Clubs for a Perfect Day on the Lagoon
Bacalar beach clubs are the best sun-drenched spots in town for enjoying a perfect day on Bacalar Lagoon, the stunning freshwater lake in southern Quintana Roo that boasts an amazing array of azure hues. While you won’t encounter the white sandy beaches, bottle service and all-day electro beats made famous by Bacalar’s hard-partying, Caribbean neighbors (I see you Cancun and Tulum), you’ll find several awesome venues along grassy shores where you can eat, drink and chill on the lagoon in all of its super-blue glory.
I was inspired to write this post because there are so many cool, fun, low-cost spots to enjoy Bacalar Lagoon, but no comprehensive website or guides online that tell you where and how to access them. Some of these Bacalar beach clubs are fairly well-known, while others I’ve just randomly stumbled across when I’m out and about in Bacalar. I’m most excited to share the lesser-known beach clubs with you because they’re not only breathtaking, but much less touristy. I also did you a solid and dropped a handy map at the end of this article to help you plot your beachy Bacalar adventures!
Bacalar’s beach clubs — called balnearios in Spanish — are, for the most part, lagoon-front parks and lounges that offer visitors a range of amenities in mostly unspoiled, natural surroundings. Restaurants, drinks, music, loungers, picnic tables, hammocks, palapas, as well as kayak and stand up paddle board rentals are among the most common perks. Except for the most basic balnearios, you can also expect services like restrooms, showers, lockers, and changing rooms to be on hand. In Spanish, the word balneario can mean both “spa,” or “to bathe,” so at the very least each place on this list grants you unfettered access to bathing in the lagoon’s spa-like waters.
Balnearios run the vibe gamut from luxe to rustic. Beach clubs offering lots of amenities and that cater to tourists are going to be pricier, while those with less amenities and a more local feel are going to be very cheap — even free. The most expensive Bacalar beach club on this list is full-on splurge with a day pass that runs $2500 MXN ($125 USD), but you’ll definitely get some luxury bang for your buck. If that sounds a little rich for your blood, don’t panic. Overall, the majority of Bacalar beach clubs are incredibly affordable. Which makes whiling the day away at a few of them one of the most budget-friendly things to do in this magical southern Mexico town.
A 15-minute drive south of Bacalar lies another beautiful body of water, Xul-Ha Lagoon (Laguna Xul-Ha). Because Bacalar Lagoon is connected to Xul-Ha Lagoon by the lazy river of Los Rapidos, I included several balnearios along Xul-Ha on this list. Several are hidden gems. Off-the-beaten tourist path, budget-friendly, well-kept, and offering equivalent services and amenities to beach clubs in Bacalar.
Alright! Grab your goggles and let’s dive in to the 17 most awesome Bacalar beach clubs!
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Bacalar Beach Club
🏖️ BEST OVERALL LUXURY BACALAR BEACH CLUB

Bacalar Beach Club is the bougiest lakeside lounge on this list. With shout outs from Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic and Gourmet de Mexico, expect nothing but a 5-star experience. We’re talking gourmet food, cosmopolitan mixology, curvaceous lounge chairs, and an infinity pool boasting stunning lagoon views. And that’s just scratching the surface.
If you really want to up the luxe factor, spring for one of their private terraces that comes equipped with a jacuzzi, TV, cabana, and a private dining table. This will set you back $3,500 pesos ($125 USD). But when you consider the fee is good for groups of 2 – 8 people, and the entire amount is applied toward the cost of food and beverage consumption, it’s actually a pretty sweet deal.
Amenities here go way beyond what you’ll get anywhere else in Bacalar. Free WI-FI, proper showers, electric vehicle charging stations, closed-circuit security cameras, and sporting events broadcasted in HD are all included in the price of entry.
One of the best things about Bacalar Beach Club is that it’s wheelchair accessible. Trust me — this is a commendable feat anywhere in the Yucatan Peninsula, where I often wonder how people with disabilities deal with all the messy planning and inhospitable infrastructure.
You can also book boat tours of the lagoon at Bacalar Beach Club that launch multiple times a day, and run about $350 per person.
My best advice is to arrive early, as they don’t take reservations (except for the private terraces), and a maximum daily capacity is strictly enforced.
💰 $200 MXN ($10 USD) | Children under 2 free | ⏰ Open M, Th + F 11 – 7, Sat + Sun 10 – 7, Closed T +W
Beach Club Blu
🏖️ BEST LUXURY BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR FAMILIES & PETS

With its plush and manicured garden, cushy loungers and oversized table and lawn games like Jenga and chess, Beach Club Blu is the best Bacalar beach club for luxury-loving families. This posh spot is perched on a shallow and privileged stretch of the lagoon that also happens to be pet-friendly, making it an epic day out for your furry fam, too.
But you certainly don’t need kids or pets to enjoy the best of Beach Club Blu. All patrons will be spoiled by Club Blu’s excellent service, idyllic grounds, gourmet food, and tempting mixology. There are also perks like beachside food and cocktail service, beachfront loungers, complimentary towels, and WI-FI. Like all Bacalar beach clubs, Club Blu offers kayaks and paddle boards to rent. But what sets it apart in the water sports department is that it’s the only beach clubs in Bacalar to rent jet skis.
Club Blu’s lawn rolls effortlessly into dazzlingly clear, aqua water, where you’ll discover plenty of stromatolites to marvel over. It’s a modern, magical and upscale space in a lovely natural setting that you’ll pony up a premium to enjoy – $500 MXN ($25 USD) per person. The good news is that $250 MXN is credited right back ‘atcha toward consumption.
💰 $500 MXN ($25 USD) | ⏰ Open T – Sun from 11 – 7, closed M
Bertilla Lagoon & Beach Club
🏖️ BEST LUXURY BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR OVERWATER BUNGALOWS

The only beach club in Bacalar boasting overwater cabanas with private docks, Bertilla Lagoon and Beach Club offers a dreamy, all-day escape that you’ll never want to leave. And you just might not have to — at least until after dinner. Once the sun sets, these cabanas transform into one of Bacalar’s most romantic venues, hosting delicious private dinners under the twinkling stars.
If the cabanas are booked, don’t fret. Bertilla also offers cozy daybeds for rent, and there’s a pergola-covered deck outfitted with lounge chairs facing the lagoon. Cabanas, daybeds and loungers require different entry fees. Cabanas are the priciest at $2500 MXN per day ($125 USD) for 2 people, with a $1250 MXN credit toward consumption. Additional cabana guests are $500 MXN per person ($25 USD). Daybeds cost $1400 MXN ($70 USD) for 2 people, with $600 MXN credited toward consumption. Additional daybed guests are $400 MXN per person. And a single day pass for a lounger under the pergola is your best luxury-budget bet at $400 MXN ($20 USD), with $300 credited toward consumption. Both cabana and daybed rentals max out at 4 people.
Amenities are abundant. Expect live music, a kid’s play area, overwater hammocks, bikes and scooters available for rent, and a delicious, Italian-inspired menu featuring vegetarian and gluten-free options. Bertilla rents kayaks and paddle boards, and you can even arrange for sail boat and pontoon tours that leave right from Bertilla’s private dock.
Bertilla requires reservations in advance which you can book on their website.
💰 $400 MXN – $2500 MXN ($20 – $125) | ⏰ Open W – Mon 11:30 – 7, closed tuesday
Balenario Cocalitos
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FEATURING A CENOTE

Perched on a low and sprawling grassy hill that trickles into the water (a photo I took at Cocalitos is the head image for this article), Balneario Cocalitos is centrally located on Bacalar’s main coastal road, Avenida Costera. This balneario sits on the banks of Cenote Cocalitos, one of Bacalar’s 4 cenotes, and one of 3 directly integrated into the lagoon. A stunning, aqua-hued swimming hole, cenote Cocalitos remains warm and waist-deep until you’ve trekked a significant way out.
Cocalitos is a popular Bacalar beach club for a few reasons. Obviously, there’s the cenote, which lures boat tours here for passengers to take a dip. Overwater hammocks and a double-wide swing set also make Cocalitos a stellar spot for lounging and ‘Gramming. It’s also a great place in Bacalar to see stromatolites, billion-year-old living organisms that are the oldest proof of life on earth, and that have a mega-important roll in the lagoon’s ecosystem.
Other than the incredible beauty of the lagoon/cenote, and the decent patch of grass where you can unfurl your towel, Cocalitos is kinda meh. Aside from bathrooms, there isn’t much in the way of amenities, so be sure to bring water and snacks. There isn’t a lot of shade either, so don’t forget an umbrella or hat. Even with these, if the sun is super punishing I wouldn’t expect to stay all day.
Cocalitos used to have a restaurant and kayaks for rent. At the time of writing, they’re undergoing some operational changes so the restaurant and kayak rentals are closed.
💰 $100 MXN ($5 USD) | ⏰ Open 7 days 10 – 5
3 things you should absolutely never do in Bacalar Lagoon
in order to protect its fragile environment:
1. DO NOT touch, step on or in any way harass the stromatolites.
2. DO NOT wear sunscreen. Even the so-called reef safe or biodegradable kind.
3. DO NOT pee in the lagoon!
Balneario Ejidal Mágico
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR LOTS OF ACTION

Ejidal Mágico is like the Disneyland of Bacalar beach clubs. It’s super popular with families and tourists thanks to its ample space, shady palapas, shallow water, lagoonside restaurant, 3 wooden “islands,” waterslides, on-duty lifeguard, and the brilliant turquoise water on which it resides. It’s a super fun place located close to Bacalar centro, which makes it an easy reach compared to other Bacalar beach clubs on this list.
You’ll find the requisite over-water hammocks and kayaks for rent, and Ejidal Mágico is happy to help you arrange boat tours of the lagoon. The restaurant serves Mexican dishes, boasts a full bar that doesn’t skimp on its pours, and live DJ sets are pretty common here. There’s even a little area featuring shops where you can pick up essentials like towels, or souvenirs like locally-made trinkets.
If you come here, just be aware that it’s the preferred beach club for large tour bus groups, so you might not have the most peaceful or privacy-filled visit. Also, some of the facilities at Ejidal Mágico could really benefit from some updating.
💰 $200 pesos ($10 USD) | Children under 7 free | ⏰ Open 7 days 9 – 5
Balneario Municipal El Aserradero
🏖️ BEST BUDGET BACALAR BEACH CLUB

They say the best things in life are free, which is certainly the case at Balneario Municipal El Aserradero. There’s no cover to park your towel along this balneario’s extended dock, which leads far out over the cerulean-colored water.
El Aserradero offers picnic tables and chairs shaded by palapas, as well as a few grills, which make it an ideal place for picnics. You might not find kayaks or other water toys for rent here, but it’s still a great, centrally-located place for a dip right off of Avenida Costera. And it’s free!
Because El Aserradero is free it can get pretty crowded. Keep this in mind, especially if you’re a family or part of a larger group since you’ll need a little more room on the dock. There’s also zero shade, so hats and rash guards are your best friends here. The only thing you’ll need to pay for here is parking, which is $35 MXN ($1.70). But you can easily avoid this if you walk.
💰 Free | ⏰ Open 7 days 9 – 6
Balneario de los Azucareros
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR UNSPOILED MOTHER NATURE

Los Azucareros is a public balneario located a little further north on the lagoon than other Bacalar beach clubs. It’s collectively owned by a local worker’s union. It’s an incredibly large and tranquil swimming spot that’s free of the crowds you’ll encounter at places like Cocalitos and Ejidal Mágico. Visitors here are mostly locals, but tourists are absolutely welcome.
After traversing a long, unpaved road off of Avenida Costera, you arrive at los Azucareros, a rustic patch of earth that also doubles as a campground. Mangroves line the edge of the shore here, with little inlets here and there where you can pop into the water. There’s also lots of shade on the owing to all of the tree canopy.
There are a few reasons to check out Azucareros, which means sugar bowls in Spanish — a nod to Bacalar’s bygone sugar cane industry. Los Azucareros is an excellent area of Bacalar Lagoon to observe stromatolites and chivita snails that help with the filtration of the water (don’t touch these either!). Also, it’s insanely cheap! Entry is $20 pesos, which is literally $1. And there’s something to be said for the rusticity of Azucareros. Nothing about this place is touristy or manufactured. It’s Mother Nature as she was meant to be.
You can rent kayaks here for $150 MXN ($7.50 USD) an hour, as well as tables and chairs for $100 MXN ($5 USD). Other than bathrooms, there are no other amenities here so bring food and drinks. Don’t forget trash bags to clean up.
💰 $20 MXN ($1 USD) | ⏰ Open 7 days 6 – 6
Balneario de Lasarch
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR CHEAP KAYAK RENTALS

Balneario de Lasarch is a serene and well-kept beach next to Los Azucareros that’s little known to tourists. It features a long pier, as well as several shaded areas canopied by palm trees. This makes it a top spot to hang your hammock so you can get in a lazy nap or sway in the sun. There are also palapas and some tables, so bring food and bev to tuck in for an all-day lounge.
Kayaks rentals here are some of the cheapest in town : $100 MXN ($5 USD) per hour, or $150 ($7.50) for the whole day.
💰 $20 MXN (people, that’s 10 cents!) | ⏰ Open 7 days from 8 to 7
Ecoparque Bacalar
🏖️ MOST ECO-FRIENDLY BACALAR BEACH CLUB

Ecopqarque Bacalar (Bacalar Eco-Park) isn’t technically a beach club. But I included it on this list because it’s cool and impressive, as well as one of the best budget, educational and eco-friendly ways to experience Bacalar Lagoon.
A protected, 5,000-square meter area that’s home to a host of local flora and fauna, Ecoparque Bacalar is right on the shore of the lagoon. You can wander above the whole area via a quadrant-shaped mega-dock built in 2023 that’s 656-feet long (200 meters) on each side. The dock meanders out over a shallow and crystalline stretch of turquoise lagoon. It’s a marvelous place to hang out on the water, or explore Mother Nature while suspended above. The dock is also great for taking photographs, catching the sunset, sunbathing, birdwatching, and doing yoga or meditating.
You can easily enter the water via wooden staircases that are tucked into the underside of the docks. Just take note that there is no shade on the dock, nor lockers to conceal your things.
Expect a bit of education while you’re here. A museography is embedded in various planks of wood along the dock that share interesting facts and tidbits about the area’s biodiversity. Additionally, Ecoparque Bacalar houses a classroom, laboratory and meeting rooms. You won’t find any amenities like kayak rentals or food, but there are well-maintained public restrooms.
💰 $20 MXN ($1 USD) | ⏰ Open 7 days from 9 – 6:30
Balneario Ecológico
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR A QUICK DIP

Balneario Ecológico is located right next door to Ecoparque Bacalar. It’s more like a traditional “beachfront” with a rolling lawn that spills directly into the water. There are plenty of trees for shade, making it a great place to take shelter from the strong sun, or to bring a small picnic. This, and it’s ridiculously cheap $10 peso entry fee (that’s literally 50 cents!) make Balneario Ecológico a popular spot with the locals.
There are absolutely no amenities here, and no bathrooms either. So I wouldn’t come here as an-all day destination. However it’s awesome for a quick — and ridiculously cheap! — dip.
💰 $10 MXN ($0.50 USD) | ⏰ Open M – Sat 10 – 6 | Closed Sun
El Encanto Beach Club
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR CAMPING

Instagrammers rejoice! El Encanto Beach Club is the stunning location of the famous two-person swing over Bacalar Lagoon that you can’t shake from your feed. This grassy balneario is a bit more secluded than others thanks to its location 15-minutes outside of town. But the small drive is worth it — the tonality and clarity of the water at El Encanto are magnificent.
If you want to wake up on the water for a seriously budget-friendly price, El Encanto also runs a pretty sweet camp ground. For just $250 MXN ($12.50 USD) per person per night, you can rent a tent right on the shore of the lagoon. If sleeping outdoors isn’t your thing (it’s certainly not mine!), you can opt to rent an eco-friendly cabin or bungalow starting at $1200 MXN ($60 USD) per night. The price also includes your own kayak and a private tour of the lagoon. If you ask me, this is an absolute steal for a night in Bacalar that includes tours and water toys.
If you just come for the day, kayak rentals go for $150 MXN ($7.50 USD) per hour. There’s also a full service restaurant that’s open from 9:30 am – 6 pm.
For more info, and to make camping reservations, you can reach El Encanto on WhatsApp at +52 983 753 7804.
💰 $50 MXN ($2.50 USD) | ⏰ Open 9:30 – 5: 30 Sun – F, Closed Sat
Los Rapidos
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR ALL-DAY FUN IN THE SUN

Visiting Los Rapidos is such an awesome experience that I wrote an entire article about it! I encourage you head over and give it a read for all the intel you need to plan your visit.
Along with Bacalar Beach Club and Ejidal Mágico, Los Rapidos is definitely run and organized more like what we think of as traditional beach club than some others on this list. Heaving restaurant serving food and cocktails? Check. All-day music? Check. Kayak rentals? Check. Overwater hammocks? Check. Bathrooms, lockers, hefty entry fee? Check, check and check.
A few things set Los Rapidos apart from other Bacalar beach clubs. First, it’s not on the main lagoon. Instead Los Rapidos is a lazy river with a gentle current that connects the southernmost part of Bacalar Lagoon to Xul-Ha Lagoon in the south. This means you can float, swim, kayak, or stand up paddle board (SUP) along the channel’s slow-moving current. This makes it a great place for kids, or people who might not be strong swimmers, since they’ll naturally bouy along with the current. (Yes, Los Rapidos offers visitors life vests).
Los Rapidos is also a showpiece for stromatolites — the river is chalk full of them. But even through signs loom everywhere admonishing visitors not to touch them, there is a lot of overtourism at Los Rapidos, and no staff assigned to enforce protecting them. Again, I suggest reading my article to discover the best and least crowded times to visit, as well as tips for visiting Los Rapidos responsibly.
💰 $200 MXN ($10 USD) | ⏰ Open 7 days from 9 – 6
Laguna Bonanza
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR KILLING 2 BIRDS WITH 1 STONE

Laguna Bonanza is a low-cost alternative to Los Rapidos that’s just around the corner. In fact, Laguna Bonanza is situated between Los Rapidos and Laguna Xel-Ha, so if you rent a kayak here (single $130 pesos / double $260 MXN or $6.50 USD / $10 USD) you can actually paddle out to explore both sites. Also, if you’re into thinner and less touristy crowds, Laguna Bonanza might be a better choice for you in the area than Los Rapidos.
The water here is just as fine as anywhere in Bacalar. It’s bursting with vibrant and varying shades of blue, and several different depths you can access from four points of entry. In addition to the lawn where you can sunbathe, Laguna Bonanza boasts a long row of tables and chairs covered by shady palapas right on the shore of the lagoon. These are available for a daily rental fee of $100 MXN ($5 USD). Laguna Bonanza has a restaurant serving regional Mexican eats, but it’s only open on the weekends. During the week they do sell some snacks, but you still might prefer to bring your own food and drinks. If you bring a cooler, there’s a small charge of $50 MXN ($2.50 USD)
There are also bathrooms and changing rooms, as well as life jackets to rent for $40 MXN ($2 USD).
💰 $40 MXN ($2 USD) | ⏰ Open 7 days from 10 – 6
Balneario Sac-Ha
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB TO SEE MASSIVE STROMATIOLITES

Sac-Ha is one of the most delightful and stunning Bacalar balnearios thanks to the astonishing clarity, color and warmth of its waters, and the property’s relative tranquility. The water here is an unbelievably electric turquoise that is completely spectacular. Sac-Ha is fairly shallow as well, which makes it a top choice if you’re traveling with little ones. You won’t miss out on stromatolites here either. Some of them are massive!
The area is well-manicured, with a spacious plot of grass that lends Sac-Ha a park-like feel. Amenities include lots of palapas, restrooms, changing rooms and a restaurant serving snacks like nachos and elote. The daily rate to rent a palapa is $200 MXN ($10 USD), and for hammocks it’s $100 MXN ($5 USD). Take note that shade can be scarce, so if you pass on the palapa rental, be sure bring a wide-brimmed hat or an umbrella.
Kayak rentals cost $200 MXN ($10 USD) per hour. If you’re a digital nomad like me, you’ll appreciate that WI-FI is available for $50 MXN ($2.50 USD). Which may or may not be a boon since aren’t we in Bacalar to disconnect!?!
Sac-Ha is about a 20-minute drive from downtown Bacalar, close to Laguna Xul-Ha.
💰 $50 MXN ($2.50 USD) | ⏰ Open 7 days 10 – 6
Balneario Lol-Ha
🏖️ BEST FAMILY-FRIENDLY BACALAR BEACH CLUB & CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TO LOS RAPIDOS

Balneario Lol-Ha is an insanely fun day out, particularly for families. You’ll find lots of great amenities here to entertain the whole family, including a rope swing, volleyball net, swing set, trampoline, and a well manicured lawn where children can run and play ’til their heart’s content. The snorkeling here is good, too. While there aren’t a crazy amount of fish, the ones I’ve seen here tend to be fearless of humans and pretty plump.
Lol-Ha is kinda similar to Los Rapidos in that it’s a smaller, cenote-like channel of water from which you can swim or kayak out to the main lagoon. But it’s cheaper and bigger than Los Rapidos, and you can generally count on encountering fewer people. Lol-Ha also offers small group raft tours led by guides. It’s a fun and relaxing way to experience the water, but since part of the fun is splish-splashing about doing the tour isn’t entirely necessary.
There’s a restaurant that serves fresh Mexican classics, but you’re free to bring your own food if you like. The guacamole is especially yum. Picnic tables scatter the lawn, and there are several palapas ($140 MSN) as well as pergolas ($70 MSN) you can rent for shade.
If you rent kayaks here, I suggest keeping it for 2 hours. Lol-Ha is close to Los Rapidos, so with enough time you can paddle over and check it out.
💰 Adults $100 MXN ($5 USD) | Children $70 ($3.50) MXN | ⏰ Open 7 days 10 – 6
Balneario Sujuy-Ha
🏖️ BEST HIDDEN GEM BACALAR BEACH CLUB

Balneario Sujuy-Ha is a relaxing hidden gem with family-friendly vibes and warm, crystalline waters. Located 20-minutes south of Bacalar centro, Sujuy-Ha boasts a lush manicured lawn dotted with loungers, palapas with hammocks inside, pergoglas, and tables and chairs shaded by umbrellas right next to the beautiful lagoon.
While there’s a designated area for hammocks, they’re not provided, so bring one if you have it. With plenty of space for kids to run and play on the grass, overwater swings and 3 docks from which to enter the lagoon, Sujuy-Ha is great for young families.
Like other balnearios on this list, Sujuy-Ha also runs a camp ground with lagoon-front cabanas for rent. For pricing and availability, contact them on WhatsApp at +52 983 157 9258.
The on-site restaurant was recently remodeled, and you’re also welcome to bring food, drinks and coolers without any additional charge. Kayaks rent out for $150 hour. For services, there are bathrooms, showers and changing rooms.
💰 Adults $150 MXN ($7.50) | Children under 12 $80 MXN ($4 USD) | ⏰ Open Sun – F 10 – 5, Sat 9 – 5
Rancho Alegre
🏖️ BEST BACALAR BEACH CLUB FOR HAMMOCKS & ALL-DAY SHADE

Rancho Alegre is located just south of Laguna Bonanza. It’s a chill option if you prefer spending the day with more locals than tourists in a beautiful, laid-back and natural environment. The garden here is lovely and extensive. It’s dotted with tons of trees that are perfect for hanging hammocks, and they provide excellent canopy for lounging in the shade. Several entry points from the docks and shore dip into the lagoon, where the dazzling water is mostly shallow.
You can rent tables and chairs for $100 MXN ($5 USD), but on sunnier days it’s worth upgrading to a palapa, which ups the price to $160 MXN ($8 USD). There’s a restaurant but you can also bring snacks and drinks. If you bring a cooler, be warned that the fee is a little hefty — $150 MXN ($7.50).
Rancho Alegre is also a camping ground. While the beach club is lovely, the cabins are pretty basic so I don’t recommend them for an overnight stay.
💰 $50 MXN ($2.50) | Children under 7 free | ⏰ Open 7 days 7 – 6

So — which one of these amazing Bacalar beach clubs for spending a perfect day on the water will you choose?
If you’re looking for all the fun and amenities, I say you can’t go wrong with Bacalar Beach Club, Los Rapidos or Lol-Ha. My pick for most bang for your buck goes to Laguna Bonanza, since you can also check out Los Rapidos and Xul-Ha Lagoon once you’re there. And if you’re doing Bacalar beach clubs on the cheap, Balneario de los Azucarreros or Balneario Municipal El Assadero are good options. The latter is totally free!
